We don't believe in complicated pricing tiers, hidden costs, or "enterprise" packages that require six sales calls to understand. Here are the answers to the most common questions about our straightforward pricing model.

Can I self-host on the paid plan?

Yes, you can choose to self-host (under five users is free, or $12 per user per month for all users if over five).

What happens if I have more than five users in the free on-prem plan?

To add more than five users, you will need to set up billing, and you will be charged for all users. No free users are included in our paid plan.

How exactly does billing work when I exceed 5 users on the free, self-hosted plan?

It's simple math. If you have 6 users, you pay $12 per user, or $72 per month. If you have 7 users, you pay $84/month. If you have 8 users, you pay $96/month. You only pay for users above the 5-user threshold, and you pay for all users once that threshold has been met.

What if I add or remove a user between billing cycles

If you add a user, the additional cost will be prorated depending on the days until your next billing date. If you remove a user, the removal is effective at the end of the billing cycle. There are no refunds.

Are there any feature differences between free and paid plans?

Can I switch from self-hosted to cloud-hosted (or vice versa) later?

Absolutely. You'll need to configure your new cloud instance and ensure your databases are accessible to it. The transition typically takes minutes, and we provide migration support if you run into issues.

Are there any hidden limitations on the free plan?

No storage limits, no query limits, no database connection limits. The only constraint is 5 users. Since it's self-hosted, you control the infrastructure and resources.

How difficult is it to self-host QueryDesk?

If you're comfortable with Kubernetes and Helm charts, it's straightforward. We provide detailed instructions and Helm charts on GitHub. Most teams get it running in under five minutes (yep). If you need a different deployment method, reach out to support@devhub.tools.

Can I host QueryDesk in my own cloud?

Yes, and you can either manage that instance yourself or we can manage your QueryDesk installation within your cloud infrastructure. This second option gives you the benefits of our managed service while keeping everything in your environment. Reach out to support@devhub.tools to discuss your requirements.

Do you offer discounts for annual payments or volume pricing?

We've priced QueryDesk to be fair and accessible for teams of any size in any budget climate, so we don't offer discounts. We don't do annual contracts either. We are confident in the product, so there's no need to lock anyone to an annual contract. Occasionally, we may offer referral credits or other benefits, but our standard pricing is designed to be the best deal from day one.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds for cancellations or downgrades. All changes take effect on your next billing date.
